44 NEWS • Posted by u/neka 2 days ago 27 Suspected Hoodlums Arrested Over Festac-Alakija Bridge Vandalism The Lagos State Government says 27 suspected hoodlums have been arrested for allegedly vandalising critical structural components of the newly constructed Festac Town-Alakija link bridge.Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this on Friday, saying enforcement officers discovered the damage during operations along the Lagos-Badagry Transnational Highway.According to Wahab, the suspects allegedly removed iron rods, steel reinforcements, cables and other supporting materials essential to the bridge’s structural integrity.The operation was part of efforts to remove environmental and transport-related infractions, including illegal motor parks, roadside trading and pollution along the highway. Investigations into the alleged vandalism are ongoing.
